So for what feel like the last month the Leitch household has been fighting every virus, bug, and germ out there! Well within the last 2 weeks both of the boys have had croup. As terrible as this sounds I am really glad they finally got something that we could get antibiotics for. We are now all starting to feel better around here . So now fun pictures today - we have been kinda snotty....

The Trials and Tribulations of School Picture Day

As a parent we know how cute our kids can be. So on picture day we try to help them show the world how cute they can be. We watch all week and hope that they can make it to picture day without hurting their faces, we get their haircut and style it so nicely, we pick out a outfit that looks nice yet still looks like them. We do all these things in hopes that when we pass out their pictures everyone says "Oh what a nice picture". Now I know all of you are thinking what seems so hard about this? Seems easy enough.... Well let me tell you. You can do all of these things but you have no control over one thing. Their smile. For some reason you put a camera in front of their sweet little faces and they distort it into a mix between a smile and a creature you have never seen. So now we wait for the pictures to come back and we hope that they don't look like this.....

Or heaven forbid they show their true personality and bust out with something like this...

The Boys First Day of Preschool

At the end of August the boys had there first day of preschool, on this day they wanted the parents to come also to help them warm up to the idea of school. Jared was fine- this being his 3 rd year of Preschool. Kyle however, who always wanted to go to school with Jared last year learned very quickly that it wasn't exactly what he was expecting. He was very apprehensive and down right scared to let me out of his sight! He is starting to warm up and today he actually walked in and waved goodbye :) So proud of my little man!

Finally the BIG DAY came! Their first day of school all by themselves. You can tell by the picture that Kyle was figuring out that he was staying... and I was leaving! But all in all they are some pretty cute looking boys. YAY FOR SCHOOL!!

Back Blogging Again

As you all can see by the previous post it has been quite some time since my last post. After so many friends have jumped on the "Blogging Bandwagon" recently, I decided it was time for me to resume my blogging activities.

RECAP:

Jared is now 4 years old soon to be 5 on January 9th. That is just beyond amazing to me! Jared is in 4 year old Preschool right now and absolutely loves it. He is there 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hrs- it goes way to fast for both of us... Everyday is an adventure with Jared. We have the same stubborn personality that makes even the smallest task very trying sometimes. As much as it frustrates me it amazes me that he is now old enough to embrace so many emotions. He is definitely starting act like a big kid :)

Kyle (who never made it in the previous blog) is a full on 2 year old boy. It is definitely different once you have 2 boys... second one turns into a "boy" way faster than the first one did! Kyle also is in 2 year old Preschool- my saving grace! Every day it gets a little better for him. What can I say ... he loves his Mommy :) Those of you that know Kyle know that he is very rough on his body. That boy is constantly injuring something. But he is a tough little dude- he rarely cries over these injuries. He has had 3 accident reports at school already....I am sure there will be many more! Kyle is a very loving little boy- or wubbing according to him :) I am interested in seeing more of his personality come to life this year.

Jeff is still working at Clear Channel Radio - but was promoted this year to a Sales Manager for 3 different stations. He is taking his new job in stride...a more demanding role than he had before. For all of us that know Jeff, it is not an option to not do something well. According to everyone but him, he is doing an incredible job....he just likes to be hard on himself :)

Me (Anna) I am going to be the author of this blog taking you through our journey of life! I am still currently a Stay at Home Mom for my 2 little boys. I am currently thinking of expanding some of my education...thats about as far as I have gotten with that plan ;) Jeff and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary this July bringing our grand total to 12 years together. Pretty soon we will hit our break even point - being together equal to time not being together... 4 more years :)

Pets - Abby our dog. The puppy in the previous blog unfortunately passed away. So we now have Abby our 2 year old Golden Retriever. Simon and Jack our cats. 4 goldfish.

That pretty much brings everyone up to speed. I will be doing more day to day posts from here on out! Welcome back those of you who used to read this and welcome newbees!!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Just wanted to take a second and wish all family and friends who vistit our site a Happy Easter. Safe travels to all. We are going to be heading to Indiana for the weekend to visit Aunt Emily and Uncle Nate on Friday then we are off to Grandma and Grandpa Leitchs for an easter egg hunt with Uncle Brian and Cousin McKaya. This is Jareds first Easter hunting for eggs, so we'll see how long it takes him to figure it out. On the other hand..... while everyone is enjoying their wonderful meals and watching the kids run around to see what that big bunny left for them, don't forget to stop and take a minute to talk about what Easter is really about. New Puppy Macy

Macy is about twice as big now,but I love this picture of her. This is when she is on her best behavior(sleeping). She is potty training very well, it is nice that I can be home to work on this with her. We have had some accidents but all in all she is doing a good job! Jared likes her better when she is sleeping.........otherwise she is chewing on him and it makes him pretty mad. They are going to be great friends, Jared won't remember life without her. Ebony(cat) is very glad to have another 4 legged friend in the house. We thought he was going to be mad at us but turns out he kinda likes her. He just doesn't like it when she eats is food or bites his big fluffy tail. Well thats Macy........she is a fine addition to the Leitch household.

I now it has been a while and I know I have said this before but I am going to really try to keep this thing up to date. I am going to post some new pictures of Jared (who is now 15 months old) and our new family member Macy(golden retriever puppy). Thanks for checking back.

We are Back

I know I have said this before but I am truely going to try harder to keep this thing up to date. We had quite a bit of down time but I am going to try really hard to not slack off.

SO.......

Jared is doing great , he is now almost 15 months old!!! I know time flies. He is an active little boy. He started walking at 10 months so he is now in the running phase, he keeps me on my toes thats for sure. He is not a big talker yet. He has focused all his energy on physical activity. He does say a few words......DaDa, ball, down, done thats about it. No your not wrong.....you didn't see MaMa on there. For some reason Jeff and I are both DaDa! Go Figure!!!

We have also added a new family member....... a puppy! Her name is Macy and she is a golden retriever. So far she is doing well in her new home. We have only had her for a few days. I will try and get some pictures of her up here.

Well I say that is good for now. Keep checking in on us. I think you will be surprised this till, I am really going to stick with this.

Livin' it Up

I certainly hope that you did in fact have a Happy New Year! We have gone above and beyond in wishing just that for you ;) But Life is busy. Part of our New Year's Resolutions included minimizing financial waste and being more productive at work. Those go hand in hand in reducing our communication via this Blog. You see we have cancelled our High Speed internet at home, and I am focusing at work. Just 2 steps in the right direction. Unfortunately it increases the distance between us. However, I will promise to do better at coming in to work early to keep you up to date, but don't count on it.

You'll be happy to know that Jared is great (currently sick) but still great. Check out this picture of Jared enjoying Doritos and the Super Bowl. Anna and I are doing well, and looking forward to flying out to Las Vegas on 3-17 (St. Patrick's Day)! Wooo! Until then. Take care and Live Life!

It is hard to believe that 2006 is this weekend! This year has gone so Fast. We added Jared to the family. We lost a member of our Family (Senor Boots) - God Rest his bitter soul. We have spend good quality times with Family & Friends. We have vacationed to Florida, Georgia, Detroit, Chicago, Northern Michigan, Mexico and many other places. We have had a very good year. We are truly blessed. This New Year's Eve Jared will be spending with Grandma & Grandpa Leitch and Cousin McKaya. I'm sure he will have fun. Anna and I however will be spending our time with some very good friends. We'll do some bowling, we'll have a nice dinner and we'll wind down at a friends place with drinks and games. Welcome back family and friends! It has been the majority of a year since you've seen an update on our family here. As can be expected...much has changed. Jared is now approaching his 1st Birthday on January 9th. He is walking all over the place. He has 4 teeth and an amazing personality. Although this blog is not designed to only update you on Jared...he is a big part of our lives and probably the main reason you visit. So, he is doing very well.

Anna is still fortunate to be able to stay at home with Jared teaching and raising him and doing her best to keep our crazy lives and home in order - it is quite the task and responsibility. I am still working with Clear Channel Radio. We still like to visit our family and friends and have developed some new friendships here in Grand Rapids. We may have also found a Church we will soon call home. More on that later.

So as you can see we are all still alive and well. We appreciate your patience with us on this blog. We'll try to do better at keeping you up to date on what our family is experiencing. It is easy to say "not much has changed" but we all know Life is ever-changing and always will be. Stay tuned to see just how and when it changes for us.

Hello friends & family and random other passers' by. We must apologize for not keeping you updated on our lives here in beautiful Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's not that our life is too busy, even though we can barely keep up. Unfortunately while we're fixing our basement, we have been forced to disconnect our internet momentarily. We assure the Leitch Family blog will continue.

On that note things are going very well for us here. We had a wonderful Mother's day yesterday, we even got to see Molly graduate from college! Anna is doing great, and she has been adjusting to Full-time motherhood very well. Jared has been absorbing Life like a sponge. He likes to laugh, smile, work on standing up and even rolling over. He changes so much in one day it is amazing. He loves to see family and friends so hopefully our tour will make a stop near you very soon. Until then, keep us in mind and we hope to hear from or see you soon. Take care.

So little time.....So many changes

We had a wonderful time in Florida, we had decent weather. Some fun things we did..... watched the taping of Extreme Home Makeover, went to the Salvador Dali museum( Jared looked at all the paintings) Saw a Princess Di exhibit, went to the beach, went to Universal Studios, played a lot of sequence, and hung out with family. The plane ride there went smooth, to smooth, the way back we hit some bad weather and Jareds little ears couldn't take it. I felt bad for all the babies and parents on that flight. I know what people mean by "enjoy him, they grow up fast". We were in Florida for 10 days, in that amount of time Jared learned to really smile, not just the little ones anymore I mean real smiles, he outgrew most of his clothes, and changed into the 31/2 to 4 hr routine. That is a lot of change for one little person. Now that we are home we are getting back on schedule , 10 days of grandparents spoiling the little guy is hard to break! He seems to be adjusting well to his "new" suroundings. Just today he was smiling at the sheep that dad painted on his walls. Everyday it is something and everyday I am more gratefull for the wonderful family I have.

Well it has been a week since our last post. Anna has been quite busy, so I thought I would update everyone. First off, Jared is 2 Months Old Today!!! Happy 2 months Jared! :) He really is growing by the day, and it is so fun to watch him smile. We just wish we knew what it is that makes him smile.

The next Big, Exciting news is we're leaving for Florida on Friday!!! That's right, our first Family Vacation! We'll be flying, (Jared Included) to St. Petersburg, FL and staying with Anna's Grandparents in Spring Hill, FL. We're planning to do do a variety of things, but mostly relax and get away from the cold weather and work related stress (for me). Anna is taking her work with us ;)

Cutest Smile in the World

Yesterday was the day, the day I have been waiting for. I have dreamt of this day since I fell in love with his little "gas grins". It was the cutest smile in the world I'm sure of it. But if you want to hear all of the details about this precious moment you will have to ask Ebony. Yes, you read that right. Our cat was the recipiant of Jareds first smile. Not the people that have been catering to his every need the past 7 weeks, but the big black fuzzy cat. We were petting the kitty and there it was, tounge out, even a little coo to the cat. Since then Jeff and I have both been blessed with smiles but, we try not to steal Ebony's glory. I will try and snap a picture, but we haven't really figured out what exactly makes the little monster grin.

For those of you keeping track, Jared is now 6 weeks old. I know, it is going so fast. I do believe he is going thru a growth spurt. The boy is eating like crazy. I was looking at the outfit he came home from the hospital in and there is no way he could fit in that now. I didn't realize how much he had grow. I do see him an awful lot! Right now it doesn't seem like that much is going on to write about. My day basically consists of a 3 hour routine. Change diaper, feed, play, snuggle, Jared nap, clean or eat or shower, then all over again. So if you have something you want to know, post a comment, that might give me something new to write about. Well, it is time to start my routine from the top, anyone want to change a diaper?

It has been a great weekend. Today is the Indiana vs. Michigan game. Anna, Jared and I are going to hang out and watch the game. It'll be interesting to see what his favorite team will be. Anna roots for good ol' U of M and daddy of course has his heart in Hoosier Land.

Well a whole week has gone by since our last entry. Jared is now over a month old. He thinks he is mister big stuff because he is getting so good at holding up his head. He is changing every day. He is getting his one month pictures taken this week.

We are going tomorrow to get me a new car. Those of you who don't know, my car broke down about a month before Jared was born, I haven't really need a car till now. We are starting to get cabin fever, and Jared likes to shop! So that is our fun adventure for the week.

I would like to send a special "hello" to our friend Michelle who has tracked us down online. Nice to here from you, hope to keep in touch. Technology is an amazing thing.

What a weekend

We made our first trip to Indiana this last weekend. Jareds first time over the border. We stayed with Jeffs parents and they were able to spend the whole weekend with Jared. This was the first time they were able to see him for more than just a day. Of course they had to share him with the rest of the family that made it over to their house to visit with him. Grandma and Grandpa Leitch are getting ready to go to Hawaii, we wish them a safe trip and hope they have a blast.

Jared also attended his first Super Bowl Party last night (I think he was for the Eagles). Of course he was an angel.

I think I am getting better at this, untill next time. Everyone take care............

Thank you for being so patient and checking back with us. Hopefully you noticed the new picture of Jared [Below] That is his favorite way to sleep. A lot has happened here since our last entry. Jeff and I had our first night out. We went to dinner and then to the Auto Show Gala. Grandma and Grandpa Hamel came over to play with Jared :) They were so excited they didn't put him down the whole time. Jared had a Dr. Appt. she said everything looked and sounded woderful. He is growing fast He now weighs about 7lbs 12 oz and is 19 1/2 in long. We are making our first trip to Indiana to visit Grandma and Grandpa Leitch this weekend. Hopefully we will be able to see more family and friends too. We will be back to share our fun stories on Mon. Have a good weekend everyone!

Thank you to those of you who have been stopping by in hopes to see what has been going on with our family. We must appologize for not updating more frequently with stories and pictures. Unfortunately our internet connection is not working well and we are in the process of fixing it. Since you're already here...Jared is doing well. He is gaining a little weight, he is about 7 lbs. 4 oz. now. He is sticking to his felxible schedule of sleeping, eating, peeing, pooping and chilling...repeat as necessary ;) Anna, Jared and I have been enjoying our first 3 weeks together and continue to learn what Life is like as a small family. My first week alone

Well, I did it! Jeff went back to work this week and Jared and I had our first full week alone together. I was a little nervous at first, not having another person to take over was a scary thought. It is amazing how it feels like this is something I have been doing forever. Don't get me wrong....Everyday is something new, but it just flows! We miss Dad though, we look forward to him coming home for lunch everyday!! We are just blessed that one of us gets to stay home with the little monster:)
